Working in production was really the kind of holiday job i was looking for after july.. though i never imagined the pace of things to be so scary. In addition to being the most physically demanding job i've ever done, i got to meet many people, very many types.. which is nice - almost like getting to browse through many different books - but another kind of tiring altogether.

Its been really hard work (a different kind of difficulty compared to architecture of course). After all the glitches in the past 2 weeks, i'm really happy things eventually ran smoothly and i can't wait for the work to be out! :)

This work holiday is turning out to be what i wanted and a whole lot more :). Now there's finally time to sit back and get things back into perspective.. time to get back to real books, i missed my slow life & my oil painting very much!

random tidbitting, part 2

now that i have time for a short afternoon breather, heres more east asian musical exposure - this time recommended by one of my favourite architects, his pt of discussion being the guitar-playing short hair getup haha.

song hunt story

Some hobby related circumstances today required me to look up this particular song... i was told its called Shorty-Blah-Blah but by the time i came home i completely forgot those 2 words. only That one word (which can be spelt in many variations) and i remembered that the song started with "be cool" and "alright alright" :|

i looked through all possible musical sources and discovered that because of the limited lyrical vocabulary of the genre, its actually really hard trying to hunt down hiphop music from lyrics and title alone. So after a really tough search, i finally found it (what kindof a rapper name is Get Cool?).. i didnt know it was from a movie - that wouldve helped a damn lot! :(

However my point is, through my tedious research, i found 2 pop songs that i have heard somewhere, quite liked and never bothered to find out becos most of them sound the same. In some unexplainable way, listening to them cheered me up.. they are of the neyo sort which i like and u ... hate :P

I guess its just quite therapeutic watching african-american music videos once in a really long while.. (i know u will have no comments but that is ok!!!) :P

while working in office today, i realised that i'm really happy with my job. it makes me a type of Dave1, with the whole french-lit professor x rocker combo. i know you are going to ask, "in what way?".

in an abstract way, lah. (think about it, think think about it.) heh heh !

nosey updates

well .. a rodent's gotta do what a rodent's gotta do (just saying hi from office!). u get an extremely good view of my work cubicle from this angle - both plan and elevation.


i stole this picture from someone's facebook. i wanted it to be on lemmings because i think i look nice here... like oh! what an appreciative face for architecture! this was at the last AA workshop.


i was at the national art gallery (my dream work!) over the weekends. sat in as a model for the OIC illustrators. it was heaps of fun and if u look close enough, someone did draw me with an alien-shaped face. (second row from bottom)

other tidbits: i made more money selling my treasures at dromstore. more money is always good!

after a year of being famous (not), i guess i better put up this link before the end of its run! one of the little fun things i'll always look back and be glad to have done :)

no joke

insomnia is not funny.. esp to happen twice this week, both times when i have art class the next morning.... the only thing thats actually good abt being awake at such terrible hours is that its the best time to listen to this... im really thankful for bradford cox.

whats also not funny is not being organised at the moment. i might actually miss.... working.
