lemmings ar-chi-tech
one of the highlights of my first client meeting yesterday was when the client patted the roof of my model and said.. "so cute"! A pet house indeed! :)
The clients really liked the work that we did - and the lesson learnt is that good house design is a balance between exciting them with unexpected spaces that we have envisioned for them and at the same time having some of our spaces turning out to be what they were expecting for their new home :).... We ended up having a fruitful discussion on how the spaces could be improved and i have to say that i never expected that working could feel so rewarding. That feeling was damn shiok!
At least my zombie-like state for the 3 weeks has not gone to waste. the next time it comes, i hope that i can do the same but with much less anxiety. After 3 really intense weeks of feeling low and sudden panic attacks, i feel like ive aged a few years - much worse than thesis time for me. Of course its not the end yet, and i havent fully recovered but i feel prepped for more challenges to come!
And as for u, Ms Bartlett... YAY!!!! I wanna see your panels and i wanna hear all abt it!! (And i wanna show u mine too!) Can we go out and celebrate now hmm??
Lets keep going, we're gonna be much better people when these challenges are over :)

Hello Saturday!
Hmm, i'm actually looking forward to tuesday's crit. I think it's gonna be fun. After that will be a series of birthday celebrations/ surprises, helping out at ann siang, rocking at various gigs (earth, wind and fire!) and burying my nose(s) into books once again. can't wait!p.s:
I saw a malay girl on the train the other day - she had long straight hair with an undershave. Is this a new trend or something? if it is, then i'm not doing it anymore! what a deal breaker situation..
