After 8 years of praying, today Mom and Dad received Jesus Christ into their lives at church. This is officially the BEST day of my life.
I cannot stop smiling!! :D :D :D

i love you, i'm a nob. x
I think i feel like kit chan did that night I saw her on the eve of Chinese New Year - totally PSYCHED>But agh!! Oh nooooo - hug a gay dude this Christmas - they need us! So I kind of, sort of, tried to get with this girl today. It's been a while and all my flatmates have gone home for Christmas so I am reasonably free to operate away from prying eyes. She's half Chinese/half Canadian. I met her for lunch in Wagamama (I like wagamama since Singapore) on the South Bank. As we were swilling away the end of our green tea, she asked me what I was doing in the afternoon - she hadn't even realised that I was hoping to spend it with her! I lamely suggested a series of films (casablanca, a documentary about people dieing in new orleans & it's a wonderful life) to which she didn't seem very interested and then I suggested going to the V&A to see the Cold War Modernism exhibition - that didn't register either. I ended up walking back to her flat to help her change a light bulb. I had wondered if this was maybe a come-on rather than free 'home help', but when she saw me out, she literally backed away down the corridor to eliminate any possibility of a festive lunge! Not love, actually. Oh well, I guess it wasn't that easy to talk to her and I was only crushing on her because she was almost a professional footballer and spoke with all these cool droll Canadian phrases. Ugh. Uh OH Daddy-O. I had food poisoning this week - I actually puked bile - BILE! I haven't seen that stuff since I was going through puberty. And the week before I had flu - we basically have an epidemic at the moment - people are actually dieing. I think I might indulgently bask in some kind of end of year reflection after Christmas, but for the time being let me say that reading about your lives makes me sooooo happy. It's magical. Happy Christmasssss!
By the way, finally, 8 months after building my lightbox I have finally managed to master screen printing.

i dont care about the xiaolongbaos at Bugis! & other stories
announcement
first of all.. lets give it up for RRR whos back on fb! hey join charley's Maldonia group? hehehe
i don't care
anyway today me and my family went to have that over-reviewed restaurant at bugis from china/shanghai (its called nanxiang, u know, cats?) which was not even nice boohooo. any random street food in china would be more worth it and taste better. but there are some particular that are not bad, some spicy crabmeat/pork xiaolongbao and one dessert that has little mochi in it.
Other than that, i felt like the dishes was of quite bad presentation, maybe cos it was in really small portions. it wasn't expensive, but it just didnt look good.
a whole new level
wah, singapore has really done it! i went to walk around the marina barrage today. It looks like a whole new world but yet an extension of singapore at the same time so.. it was quite a strange feeling. When i was there, looking at the water, the grass and then back towards the singapore skyline, the cleanliness of singapore was suddenly damn evident and i guess that was the look they were going for.
Though i did feel rather disapproving of this whole awkward Marina scheme earlier, the visitors look so well inhabited into the place and the old & young really seemed to be enjoying it, so i guess it should be a good thing! i can imagine going there in the future to mope every now and then, except it feels really far away from the uh, main island and i would rather walk to esplanade park but i guess i will change my mind in the future when the other stuff are up. i shan't reveal too many pictures and spoil the fun! (assuming u guys havent been there yet)

looks like renderings huh? i think i should try to keep more up to date with singapore developments sigh, like i havent gone to that park at Mt Faber, and somehow forgot what its called again, says the lousy singaporean.
shoos
i bought me a new pair of shoes today after my adidas fell apart a month ago. running soooon!
im so sleeepy im talking non-sense. :( but.. u get what i mean! good night!

a story from our favourite starbucks
you remember the resident artist at our starbucks? today, he spent about an hour showing me his painting collection and was going to teach me how to create my own watercolour hues, from scratch. i don't know what to say about his paintings. i really don't feel anything for them. he said he was going to introduce me to his boss and then he presented his wooden box full of his colour palettes. i was scared yet amazed. he's a kind man but a bit of an odd one! and now that he knows me by name and remembers my face...i can never ever step into our fave starbucks the same way anymore...
i don't know if this is a good or bad thing?

Kellie's exhibition, London

At Central St. Martins, my friend Kellie just scored a 1st class for her work. She sends good news accompanied with these lovely images of her project. Kellie says that the root of her concept for this project was taken from a Bible verse that says we are all created in the image of God. She credits all of her achievements to Jesus. I wish I could share her testimony here but I think ... I should get her permission first!I'm so happy for her! :)
