Does anybody here care about

this?

School's out forever! (till next year...)

Back in high school, I like to sing this song whenever the exams ended - I was the only person I knew who cared about Alice Cooper then.

Several things I wish to accomplish in the holidays:

1. Get a new haircut
2. Read all the books sitting on my shelf! :D
3. Get plenty of sleep
4. Practice drumming again ... (i need to get a hobby)
5. Get a fitness regime

No more pencils...

compassion fashion

no offense but i think you'll find that bono owns everything in the world! he he. some of that video reminded me a bit of one of the next TED prize projects which is the charter for human compassion, which aims to unite religions around their common kernel - compassion. I think you might like it. I saw this new singaporean business venture and wondered if you might know the people behind it? Maybe PB's son? In other news I have become obsessed with Bob Dylans sartorial majesty if i had money, i would be spending it on looking like Bob now (btw, yes - I know he's a Christian).

Last Sunday

excitement part II

I just thought of this video when I read about your Bono experience. For a while, I thought you were talking about the same thing. It's the hillsong conference at sydney this year - I was there. It was awesome. (the verve one was last year's conference.) I like the fact that they always kick it off with some mainstream popsong that has a similar theme to the conference. It kinda shocks people bcos on the surface it doesn't seem like a very 'church' or 'religious' thing to do, but you know, God owns every thing on earth - even the pop star's musical talents; all from God. I see it as 'claiming territory', somewhat. Maybe this brief explanation will help you understand my life better, haha.

Not such a clear video:

ps> they are not high on drugs, but something else. I'll tell you if you wanna know. ;)

Delight of the day

god, bono, ecstacy

oh my. i wonder what richard ashcroft would have to say about that?

Acid house incorporated religious language, gospely singing 'anthems' and a church like relationship between the DJ and the crowd. Now the church seems to have well and truly taken all those things and incorporated them back. That video looks like a Rave. That is the nearest thing you have to a rave in singapore. You should def go Kaili! Urr sigh. your lives are so fascinating. I don't know what this says about drugs and religion, but there are obviously a whole pile of ironies. I am as ever, left utterly clueless. Here's er one, I was going to go to this at fabric this weekend, but I've been overdoing it a bit so I think i'm going to give it a miss. You know i stood a metre away from Bono this week! Very weird.

My original reason for writing this was I thought you would both really like notcot. a lemmingy place.

This is an acid house party i think, like they made them when i was a child

FULL ON EXCITEMENT

This song makes me extremely happy! I have a special date with Jesus tomorrow, I'm so excited I can hardly concentrate on my work. Tomorrow! Tomorrow! Tomorrow! :D :D :D I think I might go crazy just thinking about tomorrow - because I know what He is totally capable of doing. :) Big massive OUT OF THIS WORLD stuff! I'm bent on seeing His glory! Yeahh! :D

Behold He comes! It's gonna be a celebration, some like this, I'm imagining:

WOO HOO HA HA! THE BLOG IS ALL MINE! AAALLL! MINE!

I love the fact this is produced by our European Government and that 7,000,000 people have watched it on youtube. I have watched it at least 5,000 times alone - you need to get down to the allianze francais girls. very few of these films are actually british. The sounds, about three seconds in, of the pants being pulled off and the flies being unbuttoned are among the single most sexual noises I have ever heard in my entire life. I am considering using it in a presentation in Helsinki tomorrow, but I think everyone might get a bit over excited.

as MoS Def would say:

"She call my at my J.O., 'come now', I can't say no
Ginseng tree trunks, rockin the p-funk
Cocking her knees up, champion lover not ease up
Three months, she call 'I feel I'm runnin a fever'
Six months, I'm tellin her I desperately need her"

woh.

Basically if you can see things like this, the world must have changed. Also, Michelle Obama: pretty foxy. Also, don't you think that 2008 will be remembered for the return of the power ballad?

This is definitely my favourite. The best bit is when she goes 'though i'm gonna live without you'. If we went to kareoke again...
